Question about updates

Well I bought Killzone 3 and GT5. I'm on KMEAW 3.55 and it asked me for an update. So i just updated (I'm not signed on PSN) so I was wondering if that is advisable or I needed to do something else before updating?

I'm sure this is a complete dumb question but it can't hurt to ask, and I'm sure more lurkers will want to know this. Thanks

Back it up, delete the update folder, change the param.sfo file to say 3.55 instead of 3.56, and it will let you keep your 3.55 cfw. This was already answered on this thread before. You should have searched for it.
