Question about Multiman and NTFS compatibilty!
Question about Multiman and NTFS compatibilty! –
Yeah, i got the 1.16.08 version of MM, and umm...i wanted to try out the NTFS support, well not quite sure how it works. I put the games into the GAMES folder and plugged it in, i did the START+?/\ thing, it told me to plug it in, well it was already plugged it. Then BAM! nothing, same ****....not showing any of the games i put in. Any Idea how to get this going?
EDIT: Ok forget it, i figured it out.
NTFS SUPORT TUTORIAL !!!
Right click computer, then properties/Device manager
Click on Disk drives..
Right click on your external HDD and go to properties.
Click the "Details" button. From here you have to choose "PARENT" to get Vendor id and Device id.
So VID/VendorID= "152d" AND PID/productID= "2329"
Your CFG should look like this
V= volume numbers... so it depends on how many partitions you have on your externalHDD,
I have 2 so mine is :
Save the CFG file and copy it to a usb stick.
plug it in your ps3
open Awesome file manager
and Copy USB.cfg to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR !!!
You can not play games via a ntfs drive, but u can copy them to the internal drive using multimans file manager.
share with us method then :P! ( do u mean u can format ur hdd to NTFS and put games with merged files and WORK!???)
did you get multiple drive working at the same time? I got the first HDD(H:\ FAT32 and I:\ NTFS) working and multiman reads the second partition. it never worked with my second HDD. I can replace usb.cnf file but want both working at the same time. its no biggie but if there is a solution its good.
No you wont be able to play games from NTFS but you can do a copy or delete.
it would be useful if you want to copy files larger than 4gb from ntfs to internal HDD
i posted the tutorial look up!
