It adds a couple pkgs to the ps3, yes. As for what saves to the nand its the base firmware. But the firmware file is ~175MB and the rebug one is another 10MB larger, yet the nand is only 16MB, so do the math on that one. Unless your on an old phat, some of the firmware is saved to the hard drive.
i have gave in with it haha and dont want to send my ps3 to sony ect so just got to deal with it lol
So is there anyway for the PS3 HD to be recongnized by a Xp comp? i tired the programs listed and the disk management tut but the comp wont recongnize it at all. i am using a USB could that be the problem? i cant directly install the drive to my laptop they are not alike. So am i screwed?? thanks this is a great discussion because i wonder how other people get there old PS3 HD to work on their comp as a external HD or what they even use it for lol? any help would be great.
To read it no, but a few posts up i suggested a gparted live cd which should find the drive.
thanks 4 the info i couldnt even get the program running LOL just a bunch of linux files in both zip and iso and i dont have linux. thanks anyway.
thank man i got it. it restarted and then i just said dont touch keymap should i pick different one??? still no luck didnt find the drive :[ thanks for the help.
You have two options now, use a gparted live cd or install Easeus partion manager, both should find the drive and let you delete all partitions or format it ...![]()
