Hi there. I've got a huge problem here. I think I messed up my PS3, while remarrying it with a new drive. I've done it in the past one time and wanted to try it on another console. So I got it into factory mode, put all the remarry 3.55 files and the 3.15 pup on my usb drive and restarted my ps3. Then nothing happened for about 10 minutes, the LED of my HDD didn't flash, so I turned it off. But now, if I turn my PS3 on, nothing happens, it just stays on with the fan spinning. And I do not get into recovery mode. It goes on, then the HDD LED blinks for about a second and the PS3 shuts itself down.

Is anything to rescue here or do I got myself a new doorstop?

so you were on 3.55 and you enter FSM to remarry.

    what model ps3 is it?
    was it a downgraded console?

i think what you may have done is installed the 3.15 pup while remarrying. or atleast that is what it sounds like to me.

grab the "File 1" lv2diag and slap it on the root of a thumb drive, and also slap 3.55 (what ever was on the console before it started acting up.) so if it was jailbroken with kmeaw then put the kmeaw pup on the root of the thumb drive along with the "File 1" lv2diag. then put it in the right most usb slot and power on the console. it should install the firmware. after you ps3 turns itself off (3-7 mins) take the thumb drive out and see if will power on. it almost sounds like you installed the 3.15 pup while remarrying and your system cant handle 3.15 (maybe)

Yeah i was on 3.55 kmeaw and wanted to remarry a new drive, cause mine didn't have one. It's a CECHC04 with a 60GB HDD in it. It was always on 3.55, not any higher.

So now I got the 3.55 kmeaw pup and the lv2diag self onto the usb drive and powered it on, but nothing happens. It doesn't even read from my usb drive.

cechc-04 would have no problem going to 3.15

i really dont know what to tell you m8, you could try to dump the flash to see if anything is wrong in there, or maybe try a different hdd. if that dont work, then kick it, i bet that will fix it.

I've got no device to dump the flash here... I also tried two different hdds, but none of them work. I think i f*cked up my flash, cause I don't even get into recovery.

If I put file 2 lv2diag on my usb stick and go out of factory mode, is it possible, that my ps3 turns back on? Or am I never be able to get back in this mode, if it fails?

Or how do I find out, if I am still in Service mode?
