Hi, I have Jailbraked 2 PS3īs of my mates and they work 100% fine, but today it was my turn it was time to jailbrake my PS3 so i followed every step with careful detail and the most unusual thing has happened, my bloody PS3 will turn on if i press the power touch sensor but it wont hold, if i hold to go to Recovery Mode, it still directly goes to XMB.
I dont know if its either me or the PS3, But i CANT get into recovery mode, using the hold method on the PS3, but it will still turn on from there... what the hell? I need help does anyone know whats going wrong?
    Thanks

Clean the PS3 touch panel with rubbing alcohol and a cotton cloth (obviously don't pour alcohol on the ps3). If its got a layer of dirt on it, sometimes it will be finicky. If that doesn't work then I have no idea. It seems weird it would accept a press but not a hold.

On second thought, you could put your PS3 into service mode using a dongle, then update it to 3.55 OFW and try installing CFW again after that. Don't try to install CFW from service mode though, don't know what it would do.
