need some advice please

okay so i miss online. but im not giving up my homebrew so im getting a new system so i wanted to ask for some opinions.

im either getting a xbox360 or a new ps3.

its just so i can play games online but really just red dead redemption is all i want to play online.

ive always been a die hard ps3 fan! but im kinda leaning on the xbox360 side because they have what alot people say here the best of both worlds or "you cant have your cake an eat it to" which with the 360 i can.and plus its cheaper.

i would like a ps3 cause this one is gonna go in my room so i can watch movies on it and i just love the ps3 free online but games are pricey but like i was saying really just want to play red dead redemption.but there will be others.

well if you were me what would you do should i go for the xbox? is it really like i hear backup games an play online? i hear people can get banned from XBL does anyone know how that happens?

well, ahh good question. When it comes to online gameplay, xbox pawns all the way. Xbox live is priced but its very cheap and that price makes sure all the lame a$$ online cheaters stay out. You know, those people who just want to annoy, they block movement ways in black ops, they intentionally send you off a cliff on dirt 3...all that.

If i were you, i would buy a 360 and go online on that. But, then i would like to keep one console legit, so i wouldn't mod my 360. But if you want, there are many easy ways by which you can play online with copied games. Like Jungle Flasher and stuff.

yup thats the push i needed. ya the xbox is cheaper an makes up for how much XBL costs.ive been searchin daily for cheap xbox360

the 20 gig white ones are all over the place bought to buy one for 100$

ah i remember when we were 4 guys wanting to play Black Ops in Splitscreen

it took us 15 minutes to figure out how to set the gamepads so it doesnt tell you some shít happened - thats what i dont like about the XBOX and that they charge for XBL

imo its a hard decision and i wouldnt be to sure if a XBOX wouldnt have been better than 2 PS3s; many (many many) of my friends have one (Xbox) and I'm just into Multiplayer/Coop/Online-gaming. All that wouldnt be a problem if my parents wouldnt be as conservative (18+ games,..) as they are. I really miss playing Call of Duty and all the other games online (w/ Backup Managers like when the 3.55 CFWs came out)

on another side, too many game developers dont use the PS3's capabilities, because of that many games look better on XBOX than on PS3 (Assasins Creed,..) and also F**KING HDCP lets me freak out every time. I mean, YouTube is on of the best place for advertise your Game System but almost 90% of the CoD clips are recorded from a XBOX = perfect advertising. HDCP just sucks and is fúcking useles because if you just use a component cable its gone but with a qualityloss.

imo Sony just screwed themselve (the PS3) up which is why many people prefer the XBOX.

Id save up more money for a good Gaming Comp

Consoles are failing more often because of background flaws the public must find to keep from giving in to customer service crap

And computers are awesome over all

BUT that kinda goes against what Perspex said 1000x hard because Online Gaming on a computer is where the cheaters Live, feed and breed, Its like a troll homeland for idiots to Hax4cheatz

I was gona recommend a 360 too though but PLEASE dont buy the white ones without a warranty the RROD crap is sure to happen to you in less than a year if you take care of it or not
And if you manage to fix it it'll last for a few more months then fail again
The latest models stay cooler and last a bit longer

im glad you said something im new to the xbox scene and wasnt sure which ones had that ROD i hear about.

so im looking for a black one eh.lil bit more pricey but better then wasting money on one that will break.

and ya dude if i had money for it i would def love a new pc!but when i get a new one im saving up so i can get a i7.but im unemployed right now gotta wait untill i get a job for that kinda purchase.i just pulled my crop have a lil bit for a new console.

na man, these times are (at least at the games i've played) over
in Bad Company 2 for example you almost cant feel a difference between a pro and a cheater (pc of course)
Punkbuster is ok, if you cheat in BC2 you will get banned forever from the Online mode (atleast your key)

only the bad/free games and CoD are hacked (not only on PC see the CLs and all that cheating shít in MW2 - almost worse than PC)

Yea Well the newest model elite or the latest Slim models they last the longest from all the cases ive seen from friends

I to am saving up for a i7 or Xeon, AND the Asus Sound master laptop its nearing to be on par with a Good workstation

Well i meant cheating is more likely to happen on a comp because its Open and gives you more freedom to the game's files, server locations and ways to access other peoples ip's where on a console it takes some work to cheat someone over, i mainly play Adventure or Action games Shooters aren't my style people should play those at tournaments only in my opinion :/

Well i had a nice short story i had written up in detail for an occasion such as this but Now i cant find it on my HDD

Annyyywayyy

My friend's grandmother forcefully got him a 360 because she believed them to be better than a ps3
He eventually loved it and played its usual exclusives
The halo series became one his his favorite games (I like Halo but i roll with team metroid)
We eventually caught wind of Halo reach and since neither of us had ps3's at the time we were both in fanboy mode and was raging for it
The time eventually came around for reach to release and we had divised a few plans to get it without selling our possessions
BUT Lucky us he contracted the E74 Error which is a Dead gpu its an unrepairable error And its funny because the same day this happen his warranty expired

The day after that halo reach released and no one had an extra 360 to spare us theres either got messed up from an unknown error or they were playing Reach

This matter caused us to take vows to never EVER purchase an xbox 360 (White model)
So we both got ps3's...
