Just want to establish my current situation: I have a Fat launch PS3 model. Jailbroken followed by kmeaw install. Ok, so, I have tried a bunch of different versions of MultiMAN, and one error or another occurs when I either try to install the pkg or after I do install ok and it does launch. When it does install ok, an error comes up. One thing I have established is that the KM version of MultiMAN is not happening on my system. My system will only allow the download of the multiMAN that corresponds to the WT BDEMU.pkg.

Now when I go to open the multiMAN app the folder says "Parental Restricted Material." Not the biggest problem, but could be part of the whole matter as to why I'm getting error messages, I put the code in and the file opens, but then an error will come up about the BDEMU not working properly. When I tried to copy one of my games then launch it, it wouldn't work. The PS3 would just restart at the XMB with no recognition that a launch was to occur... this was attempted with and without a different game disc in the drive.

I am starting to think that I may have to go with Gaia, but I really would prefer multiMAN, because the interface is so much more user friendly from what I've seen. I feel I am so close to being at a place where it's gonna work, there's just something wrong or missing in my process...

Right now, Lv2 is not installed on my hdd, as I am told that it is not necessary for later versions of MultiMAN, though I have tried that in the past as well

Anyway, any help would be great so I can get my backups working. Thanks.

There should be a settings menu where you can disable the parental function. If not, download the latest MM and do what I just said.

okay, first of all there is something wrong with your fw, because you do not have kmeaw. Normally kmeaw cfw wont let you install WT files, only KM should work on kmeaw. So first of all go back to 3.55 ofw and go to kmeaw 3.55 cfw. Here is a tutorial on getting a proper kmeaw pup file:
    http://psgroove.com/content.php?666-...ng-Backups-PSN

See if that clears problems out, also remove the parental lock if you can, it may be causing problems with the homebrew.

And apart from that BDEMU.pkg also comes as WT and KM. After you have installed the proper KM cfw, then install the multiman for kmeaw and then install the proper BDEMU for kmeaw. Once you load a game from MM, it is normal to come back to XMB, that is when you need to turn the game on from the ps3 disc icon(if you already had a game inside the ps3) or you could play discless from the app/games folder. But playing with a ps3 game disc inside is recommended.

LV2 patcher is highly unnecessary now a days, it is only needed to install linux on the ps3. Just installing the BDEMU once is fine to make all yours game backups work. ALso the new versions of Multiman does not come with BDEMU pre-installed in it like before because of legal issues. I cannot give you a link to the BDEMU as that would be promotion of piracy. So google it. Also remember to download the new BDEMU, called BDEMU2.

Do all that and let us know how it goes, good luck!
