MultiMan freezes at 88%

multiman is freezing when trying to make a new backup of homefront. i had a backup on my hdd, then deleted it tried the ext-hdd and now everytime i try to make a backup of the original disk it freezes at 88%? how come what am i doing wrong?

Are you sure its freezing..?
Because due to lack of patiences i almost bricked my ps3 so better wait for few mins and then see.

The same thing happened to me when i was trying to backup Black Ops. It froze at 53%. Than i put both USB ports from my ext. HDD in the PS3 and it finished successfully!

Laky i don't understand do you put the external usb drive and controller in the usb plugs and it works??

Verify that the HDD is not full. Other than that I really don't know. Test another USB drive freshly formated for fun.

This has happened to me too. I guess my external wasn't getting enough power. It used to freeze all the time, didn't matter which external I used. I plugged in both usbs and it works perfect now. Of course, this wouldn't apply if you have a separate power supply for the external hard drive.
