Messed-up problem with my PS3
Messed-up problem with my PS3 –

So I got a weird problem here. I bought a 60GB PS3 on Ebay without a BlueRay drive in it. It worked fine with Kmeaw CFW, which was preinstalled. Then I wanted to update to True Blue CFW2 and it stopped at 64 percent with the error 8002F14E and is stuck in a update loop. So I bought a new Blueray drive with a new driver board on it. It is build in, and the discs are sucked in well, but on 64 percent it gives me the same error.
So is there a way to get out of the update loop? To remarry my new drive with my PS3 without Factory or Service mode, which I can't get in.

From what I understand you need serice mode to remarry. Download a bd rom patched cfw, these will install. you need serice mode and you can't use the .pkg to do it because it won't run without a bd rom drive.
If I was you i would download a cfw that will automatically q/a flag (needs bd patch also) Install that, use ps3 update debug to downgrade to 3.15 where you need to be to remarry but you need to be in service mode.

So which one should i install? i'm downloading Rogero CFW 3.1, cause it got the no bd drive check. I have a JigStick for service mode. If the update works fine, can't I go to service mode and remarry on 3.55? It's possible, from what I read.

bd rom patched means the firmware will not try to do install anything to the bd drive during firmwware installation. it is for people like you with mismatched bdrom drives so you can install a firmware because with out that patch your out of luck. when you say kmeaw worked fine could you use any homebrew? i heard of a way to play homebrew with no bd drie through q/a but don't know the specifics.
Rogero will install but you will need to go to service mode and downgrade to 3.15 you can not remarry at any higher firmware

Kmeaw worked, but from the one I bought my PS3, the drive was in it, before installing Kmeaw.
So now I want to install the new Rogero CFW, but I think it tries to install the firmware stored on the PS3 HDD...
What can I do here?

remove hard drive and either replace or format. being a 60gb if you replace it to install the firmware you should be able to put it back when your done and still hae your files but there is no gaurentee of saving your files
Have you tried getting into recovery mode?

It is OK, I saved my files before. I formatted the HDD through windows with Fat32, now I am in recovery mode, but it stands still at the point with "checking, please wait".
