I'm on Rogero CFW 4.30 v2.05 and I tried installing McLowPhatMod v0.4 last night. The install was going fine, so I left it alone for a few minutes and when I came back the screen was frozen at the McLowPhatMod background animation. I restarted the PS3, but all that came up was the McLowPhatMod background animation again only this time the animation was actually running. After several restarts with the same outcome, I tried to restore the filesystem but never got past the preparing screen. I then tried to update the firmware to see if that would do anything, but it freezes every time I select system update. Any ideas on how I either get the system working again with McLowPhatMod or uninstall McLowPhatMod?

Tonight I got to thinking that it may be a hard drive issue, so I tried swapping it out with a 120 GB hard drive that I had lying around, but I can't get the PS3 to format it. I can boot into safe mode, but I get the same result whether I choose to rebuild the database or restore the PS3. It says that it is preparing and then the screen goes black and nothing ever happens after that. Can someone help me to get my PS3 back up and running? I am starting to get FarCry withdrawals.

I'm not sure if this will help anyone else, but I figured it out. I booted into safe mode and chose to restore the filesystem, then I let it sit for 24 hours. When I came back it was still at the preparing screen, but when I restarted the PS3, it restored the filesystem and then rebuilt the database and I am back up and running again.

    *UPDATE*
I found a new way if this way above wasn't working I just swapped hardrives and it finally showed a screen saying that the system storage was damaged and needed a 4.30 update or above so i put in rogero's v2.03 and updating and now i am back to normal
