Ok so I guess I screwed the order up with doing the CFW. It works, and all but I did it too fast perhaps. I will explain.

I bought a new HD for my ps3 yesterday. So I backed up my ps3 onto my external so i could keep my save data and stuff. After that I installed the new drive and then installed OFW 3.55 then Kimeaws CFW. I got everything working and games running BUT I realized I did not put my game saves back in.....it is too late in the process to do this? I can not connect to PSN to even log in with my name as well because since its a fresh system start and new drive it just shows me the register option for psn. And when you go to that it loads but tells you that you need to do the system update to get to the registration page. I tried with DNS trick as well just in case.

If i did a system restore to the OFW 3.55 then did the system back up tool to put my stuff back on will that also load my psn information? If it does not then there is no way to get through the process it seems. So what I am really hoping is if it will transfer my old settings or not?
It sucks and I was happy that I got it up and running but to have to go back and restart the whole process just for my game saves and psn settings

yessss...you will have to do everything again...format your HDD and restore with the backup you made because the PSN saves the settings on the save game thing...

There's an app on this sites latest news section that spoofs your firmware version. My understanding of it is that it spoofs it across all servers, not just the gaming one. You could try that out and see if it let's you recover your login.
