little help needed in deciding.. which CFW is best for 3.41??

Hello everyone. I am new to the scene and my brother got a ps3 which was a 3.60 so i've been looking into many ps3 sites to check if any had any downgrade... anyway i got another ps3 which has 3.41 firmware... I wanted to ask if I should stay at this firmware and install a CFW or upgrade to 3.55 and use a CFW..

Please can you people tell me which CFW's are the best for 3.41 and 3.55

i dont know a cfw for 3.41 i think its just with a dongle but for 3.55 iam using kmeaw and its working good for me and tell your brother to wait and not to update again till a downgrade comes to 3.60 or a cfw

Thank you to the both of you for your fast replies. I have installed the Blazie's version of 3.55 but I cant play any game that requires 3.56 even though Blazie's CFW has already got the 3.60 spoofer. any tips or advice here??

The 3.60 spoofer, I believe only affects PSN so you won't get the annoying update message but in no way lets you play games that require 3.56 firmware, for that you would need the OFW 3.56 or above to actually let you play those games. There is however a workaround. If you could tell me what game is it you want to play I can tell what you need to do

sorry I've forgotten what the game was called! my little brother wanted to try it! it was a boxing game...anyway i seem to have figured out after searching for a while. I need to edit the eboot.bin of that game to make it work. I'm planning on setting up ftp and will use ftp manager to edit it via the ebootMOD. Again thank you very much for your help MrT! If your on 3.41 I would stay on 3.41 and either use hermes 4d cfw or rebugs 3.41 firmware they dubbed 3.41.2. There is no benefit of 3.55 except 3d bluray playback, and on 3.41 you can use dongles if you want to inject a diff payload or a cheat dongle. I haven't ran across any games that wouldn't play either, since you can modify the eboot, and now multiman even has a tool to do it for you. Also, psn workaround methods work with either 3.41 or 3.55, so that's not a downfall either.
