Hello guys...

i just found out that..the two folders created after your ps3 is hacked

viz
1./app_home/ps3_game
2.install packages

so..the first one is not opening in my case
and giving me some error, i dont remember the error number
just wanted to know..is there any use of it..?

i am on Kmeaw 3.55 using multiman 2

1./app_home/ps3_game --- This will only work after you load a game from external or internal HDD using multiman.
Its not recommend(instead use the standard bluray redirection) to use but if you have broken bluray its a needed feature.
2.install packages -- is used for installing homebrew app

I never have understood why it is not recommended around here.
I try and run EVERY game possible without a disc in the drive (just to save wear and tear on the PS3.

A few games I have require a disc in for play. Most do not.

Ohh so people saying that a game can be run discless is true...

i thought its just crap. because i didnt knew that it can be run through the app_home thing....:P

lol and yea blue ray disc are scratch proof B)

I guess I should be forthcoming with more info on my previous post.

What I should have said was that most of the games I own do not require a disc in the drive.
I am one of the fools that does not download games or pirate games (possible exception being emulators

).
With that being said, I only have about 30 PS3 games (yeah, I buy a lot of games) and most of those run discless.

Not sure how many games overall can be run through the /app_home/ps3_game option.
I may just happen to be picking up games that are "friendly" with being run discless.

I have seen some pretty big collections around here that people say they run discless, so I don't really think it's just a coincidence for me.
