Jailbreaking and the Borderlands DLC Dilemma
I'm new here and reaching out to the community in the hopes that someone will have a smart idea for how I can work around my current issue.
I am a very happy user of the TI-84 JB method on my nice 3.41 system, and recently decided that I would like to play through Borderlands since I didn't get a chance to when it first came out. Cool. So now I've got the original game backed up and it runs fine...but I don't know how to get the DLC.
Unlike Fallout 3, which has a Game Of The Year edition that includes the DLC on the disk itself, Borderlands' GOTY edition just has vouchers that are redeemable on the PSN Store for the DLC. I think this is really unnecessary and stupid, personally, but that's a separate issue.
My problem is this: I need to get onto the PSN Store, literally just to purchase the DLC packs for Borderlands (unless I can get them somehow for free, but I'm pretty sure I can't so I'm happy to actually legitimately buy them in this instance). However, the downgrade exploit was released for my TI-84 only after the 3.55 patch, and now I've heard that the downgrader doesn't work from 3.55 — and that even if I manage to install 3.50, it still won't let me onto PSN anymore thanks to the required 3.55 patch.
So am I stuck or is there a way around this? It seems weird to me that there'd be no one in the JB community who plays Borderlands with the DLC.
Any help or insight would be appreciated. If I'm shit out of luck and have to wait then so be it, but in case there is some method I'm not aware of, I'd really love to hear about it.
Thank you in advance! :)
