Install Custom Firmware
Install Custom Firmware –
12-03-2010,01:49 PM
Hi, Im new here. I have a fat 80gb PS3. And I have jailbroken it with my iPhone 3G. But I had to give my 3G away, so I cannot boot into jailbroken state anymore. I was wondering if I install a custom firmware on PS3, would that mean that it would ALWAYS boot into jailbroken state? I'm on 3.41 and dont plan to upgrade anytime soon.
THANKS!!!

Yes, once you install the custom firmware then hopefully you`ll no longer need to use a jailbreak device as restrictions on running authorized code only will be lifted permanently. However, once you download this CFW let us know the link as i think we`ll all be waiting for at least 6 months from now for this.

Yes mate, we can see your reply. Some good news is about at the moment about 3.50 being jailbroken, i would just update to that firmware once its been confirmed and buy yourself a cheap AVR board. Hopefully in the next 6 months some custom firmware may be released. Until the jailbreak is the only option

No custom firmware is available @ this point, ur best bet is just to buy a cheap clone if u dont want to pay much and u dont care about other features ...
