I can't log onto PSN error code 8071053d

I did have my ps3 on all night formatting my HDD if it matters. I read online that it's a power issue? I think it may be that the DNS trick has been patched already as I am using it. Is there another way I can download my content I bought from the PS store?

Been doing some digging and I came up with the following by guyhunter over at GameSpot:

8071053D - Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back swtich and remove the power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 mintues, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on(if using one) and let it sync. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back swtich up again. Then make a new network connnection.

One of the guys said he had to do it 3 or 4 times before he was able to get it working again.

At least it gives you something to try.

I read that as well. But I don't think the slim has a power switch on the back?

And I still think it may due to the DNS trick being bypassed?

I got the same problem this morning, I was using the DNS trick. All I did was switch to the 3.60 patch and im online as we speak.

3.60 patch? are you on 3.56 or 3.55?

you dont need a power switch..just unplug it. And i dont think Sony disabled it this fast. But then again i could be wrong.

guess it was patched. that sucks.

I could always update. But that would just put myself in a deeper hole.

u update once more, thats it...dnt except any more jailbreaking for you. If you get lucky, maybe in the next 6 months or so.....LOOK BEFORE U LEAP!!!! Anyway..its 2am here...got an exam in 9 hrs...better get some sleep...good night people!!!
