[PROBLEM RESOLVED] HELP please...
[PROBLEM RESOLVED] HELP please... –

OK, get this...
I thought that it was my flash drive because it wouldn't load in ANY of my computers USB ports.
But then I tried it in a different computer, and it DID work.
(also non of my other USB devices would work either) >.<
So as it turns out, my computer "forgot" it's USB drivers o_O;
I had to restart my computer to re-initialize it's USB drivers at start-up.
It doesn't change the fact that my flash drive is dying on me.
(sence I can't use the last 300MB of my 1GB)
But at least I know I have more time ^^;

HELP please, Flash Drive isn't working right...

.
My flash drive has always worked perfectly before.
But when I started to use it as a FMCB disk image location, it started acting wonky.
After playing a game from it the first time,
I pulled it out of my ps2 and stuck it back into my computer to transfer some files,
only to find that my pc wouldn't detect it at all.
I figured that it just overheated a little, so I waited a bit and then stuck it back in.
That seemed to work.
And letting it cool after use, has worked for me for quite some time.
(though the amount of time required, slowly increased with each use)
But recently it was left in my ps2 for much longer then usual.
And now my pc won't detect it at ALL.
I even let it sit over night, and nothing.
The odd part is that dispite not working in my pc,
my ps2 can still read it. (using the uLaunchELF program)
It's a "Sony 1GB MicroVault"
Amazon.com: SONY USM1GJP Pink 1GB Micro Vault Classic with Virtual Expander: Camera & Photo
Also, some time after the first PS2 use , I discovered that I could no longer use the last 300MB of the drive.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here?
Like why my ps2 can still read it when my pc can't?
Did my flash drive just die on me, or did my ps2 kill it?
And if I throw it in the trash and get a new one, will it happen again?

It does sound like it is dying. You can try to do a long format on it on your PC and see if that helps, but, well, I'd just suggest getting a new one. I mean, even a 8GB one costs like 5 euro, so it's not a horribly expensive investment.

I was afraid someone would say that V_V
I figured it was dying on me, but I was hoping... guess it was in vain.
Do you think my ps2 is what killed it?
Like: should I get a slitely larger capacity drive, Or just get the cheapest 1GB I can find.
I know even the 8GB aren't that expensive, but it seems like such a waste to get a larger one, just for the ps2 to kill it too.
(if that's INDEED what caused it, that is)

I really do not know if it was your PS2 that killed it or not. But the larger the drive the more spare sectors it will have in case some of them goes bad, so it would make sense to get a slightly larger one.
Also, you never know if you'll need it for something else in the future!
