I have a ps3 running 3.41 JB with a dongle (wel, more like a calculator). Yesterday, all was fine, i could play backups perfectly. Even the games that have a custom EBOOT.BIN (3.55 +).
Yesterday I waned to launch multimanager and I couldn't press R1 to enter patched mode, well you can push the bottom but I see the same games and they don't work. So basically, i can play all the non 3.55 compatible games, the ones that don't require patched mode.
I've also tried updating mutlimanager to the latest version (still no 3.55 games in pathced mode, same problem) and try open manager 2.1, which cannot enter patched mode because i have an unsupported payload (I use PL3).
What am I to do now? I know reinstalling my ps3 will do the trick, but I don't feel like to backup all my save games, format everything and ftp my games back, takes a lot of work. CFW would be another solution, although I'm still confused how this works.
So this is my questions: how can I re-enable Patched mode?
Either uninstall your BM and reinstall the version you were using before, or update to a newer CFW that is supported by the newer versions of BMs. I'd say go to 3.55 kmeaw's CFW, since then you wouldn't even need to use the dongle to JB, and multiman is fully supported on kmeaw's cfw. A guide to upgrade is below...
I upgraded the night kmeaw's CFW came out and couldn't be happier.
