Is Going ONLINE PSN WORTH THE RISK!!!!!
Is Going ONLINE PSN WORTH THE RISK!!!!! –
Any input, thoughts, and views would be great.
Is it worth the risk going online on psn on cfw 3.55.?
Will banning become reality or is it a myth?
Is there really anyway pony can tell if you are online using a game you own that is backed up on your hard drive.?
I ask this as playing online is most enjoyable it would be such a shame to get banned.
Whats the worst that could happen.
C mon guys give us your input.
Worth the risk for me? Yes. Do I actually do it? Yes.
Would I be bothered if Sony banned my console? No.
Why? Because PSN is a pretty crap service full of Lag and lack of decent features anyway.
Simple to answer. The moment you put on CFW you already took a risk. Installing a non 100% stealth software is taking the risk higher, playing online is taking the risk a step further.
BUT it ain't a risk if you don't ever plug in the network cable.
If you just wanna play backed up games without online capabilities then it will be worth.
If you care about your trophies and playing online then I would suggest to wait 6 month or longer to jump on the train.
The worst things Sony could do?
Upload game pkgs with an anonymous account to the torrent world that bricks your console.
Ban your PS3 to play online (buy a new one XD)
Delete your PSN ID/Account and with that all your trophies (create a new account and start from scratch)
And btw. just because you have different accounts doesn't necessarily help. I believe they should be able to detect all accounts on a hacked PS3 and disable/delete them all.
I just telling this over and over because people become so carefree. Until now no hacker guarantee that his firmware or software is really 100% stealth! You are going to take a risk! It is not the dev's fault! They are doing a great job btw. XD
Just be aware of what can happen before you modify your PS3 in any way!
Hope that answer your question ^^
Well if you are afraid you dont go online...so you dont use psn or the web...if you get banned you will be in pretty much the same situation...you cant use psn and all that. So you have 2 situations that are equal...you dont go online because you will get banned and you go online and get banned...i see no difference...so you might as well enjoy it now while you can than regret it latter when you cant...this is only my opinion as i dont care about psn i just go online to update games, and if i dont go online there are several programs capable of getting the update pkg so...
And with all the rumors going around that sony will implement CdKeys like the PC it only shows that maybe they arent that capable...anyway i think its worth the risk because either way you are not using it so use it now while you can and whait for time to tell...
1. Actually there is no risk to use psn, but psn sucks anyway
2. Its a myth of the scared kids who got the ps3 of their parents on christmas
3. No(t yet)
4. The worst thing that could happen: They install a patch that makes every console with cfw to a nuclear bomb and detonate it.
Haha god you are stupid. PSN has lagg??? WHERE? WHEN? I've never played a laggy online game on PS3 except for Call of duty. I don't hear any complaints about PSN being laggy, only from Call of duty players.

XBOX gaming is running on Microsoft servers, and $60 a year is cheap for dedicated server gaming. Top it off, if you actually had any friends, you could have 4 friends pay $25 ea. and get a family pack for a year. Just cause your too cheap to pay for games or online play doesn't mean others are.
To the OP, NightmareLuffy is 100% right, and I couldn't have said it better myself.
