Going Legit –
05-29-2011,08:46 PM
Hey guys. I've been fighting this war against Sony for 2-3 months and with no progress in the scene/no brakes from Sony I've decided to go legit. The main reason I don't stick it out any longer is that I haven't been playing my PS3 at all lately, and I know when I go legit I'll be using it a bunch more. I want to go online. I want some help before I go back to OFW. Is there any way to check if my console is banned? (cause it would suck to lose online and homebrew) I also want to know whether I have to delete the debug/sp-int games I have on my PS3. Lastly, I want to know how to check my logs to see if they're clean.

As always you should remove anything none OFW related, before going back.. I also just went back to OFW for the same reason.. cept fighting the war, im a pacifist (had to respond to that lol). Anyway you should wait, the PSN is going through maint right now.. and i think i ****** up and forgot to change sp-int to np... when i logged back into my PSN my friends are gone and i got plus like being online in sp-int.. and when i go to play COD my name is no longer my psn its .ep ? lol .. i think it was because of sp-int again.. either way it feels good to be back online. I tested out some games i had doubts in buying so I'm satisfied over-all.
EDIT: psn maint. is just for account related stuff and psn store.. you can play online though. ALso I just rebooted and instead of my psn name being .ep its now .Jp lol - dunno whats going on there

Please disregard my last post... What I did was.. After updating to 3.61... I then went into recovery mode ( same as always) and re installed 3.61 now my psn name is fixed.. I didnt get a DNS error but maybe it will help you also.

Well, thanks! That worked. Unfortunately it deleted everything on my ps3, but I'm online now. I guess sony fails so much that they didn't ban me for going on sp-int
Anyway, I'll restore tomorrow and hopefully everything will still be working.
