How do I do this with a usb memory stick. Is it possible to save the data piece by piece to my ps3 harddrive or no? And I heard some 20-30gb games don't work. Like I heard HeavyRain was giving ppl problems. Which copies work? I know some usa games won't work, and alot of european games I've tried do work which is kind of weird seeing how I thought my console was American. :D
This is the very first post in the Tutorial section, it has loads of fantastic advice mate, get yourself an external HD and format it to Fat32 with this little app, that way you can just copy the stuff across as long as no single file is bigger than 4 gig

Thanks but ftp is way too much hassle and uses too much bandwidth up. Peoples isp's are going to start getting ticked off if ppl be downloading that much information constantly. I'll probably get a 30 gig memory stick in the future when prices drop on them.Quote:

I tried using an external harddrive on my ps3 before and it didn't work. A 500gb one, will this program you linked format that 500gb so its compatible with the ps3?Quote:

An external drive is one I picked up from the store and I use a usb cord to connect to my pc right? I have 3 external harddrives I believe. I have 1tb seagate external harddrive, 500gb seagate external harddrive, and Iomega 1tb external harddrive. Does it matter which one I use? Right now I'm taking important files I want to keep off the 500gb one so I can erase that one and format it with the program you gave me and than I'll make a folder called games on it and put my ps3 games in it! I use Multiman and that uses the GAMEZ dir on external GAMES on the internal, other managers use different paths.
My above post is slightly wrong I should have stated GAMEZ for external not GAMES
My multiman and open managers I believe have been reading my external usb memory stick as Games tho. Or is it different with external harddrives? I think some how I manage to change the location it looks for so I think on mine it would read from a folder called Games.Quote:
