Currently, I have PSGO on the way to jailbreak my PS3 Fat with 3.41 firmware. To prepare for this, I bought this external HDD. Hopefully that was a good choice. I'm sure just a regular USB 2.0 drive will do?

I also plan to hack my PSP when TN-C comes out. Now my main problem is that I wish to use Ad Hoc party. Unfortunately, I never downloaded it before 3.55 came out. Is it possible to install ad hoc party externally rather than by PSN? I doubt it, but I like to keep opportunities open. Perhaps I should upgrade to 3.55, download Ad Hoc Party, and then downgrade? But with non-dongle CFW coming out these days, perhaps it won't be necessary.

However, I must ask if Ad Hoc Party requires you to update to the most recent OFW when using it or even if it requires a PSN sign-in. Pretty much all I'm going to do is play Monster Hunter on it, so it might not be worth the effort. Hacking the PS3 might not even be worth it for me, since I wouldn't back-up many games or even install homebrew beyond emulators (of which I can play on my PC or even hacked PSP).
