Hi Community
Since there was a PS3 Slim 320GB listed on eBay for $10 USD. I decided to purchase it except it comes with the problem where it doesnt display any video. The console still turns on normally. What i want to know is if i use the towel trick (where you cover the console with a towel until it becomes really hot) as a el cheap reflow method will it work or will i risk screwing up my PS3? The model number of it is CECH-2502B
Thanks again

I'm not sure if that would work for ps3 or if it even works at all but, i assume that it would be a risk of: Fire. Melting. and lastly, data corruption. I In MY opinion i would not do it but, it is your choice. -Invalid

"the towel trick"
the towel trick is a last ditch effort for the xbox(or for newbs lol) what the towel trick does is gets it so hot that it overheats itself, way hotter than if you where to do it manuall. i would advise not to ! why not taker her apart and look at the rsx/cell to see if maybe paste is bad or some shotty solder? could be a easy fix.
