DAMN IT!

yo -.-, having some ****** probs with the ps3 lately....

Well, i recently did an hdd upgrade...and its been like a month i think, anyway. Everything was working fine and dandy, till today. I was playing homefront, and i completed it..so i turned it off. After some time i turned it back on, thought of playing another game, so i loaded up LBP2.

I got a black screen, i'm like,"OK, **** HAPPENS"..den went on to play MK vs DC( i saw the mk demo vid and couldn't resist). On mk vd dc i got a black screen, im like WTF...den i tried to go back to XMB and the ps3 restarted. Wadafak?

I tried BlackOps, same ****, Dead Space 2 same ****. Ironically Homefront seems to work fine O_O.

Anyway, i deleted multiman and install rogero 8.2, same **** with mk vs dc....now as im typing, im trying LBP2 and it worked flawlessly. Lol this is freaking insane, i cant go on like this...wtf is going on? xD

All the games that used to work with no probs before on my old HDD with the same kmeaw 3.55, now doesn't want to run at all with the new 500gb hdd. Dude, this console has some serious ******g issues.

All my games are Internal, atm...but Mk vs DC and Dead space 2 did work on internal before.

Then how come all the months before my HDD upgrade it never overheated....but still maybe, O_O...i turned it off, flipped the back switch off and turned off the mains. Im gonna let it sit like that for sometime(cos i have to study physics :P)....later on at night, i'll try it...see what happens

these games that wont boot, have you deleted all their configuration/install data, patches also. Then put the black ops patch back on manually.

guess you were right dude...i turned off everything and unplugged for 2 hours..now its working fine. Thnx for the info

Wonder if it was just a "glitch" somewhere (like my issue with the sound in Overlord) or if the new hd is putting out a little more heat?

Hopefully the rest you gave it, fixed it permanently.
Only time will tell.

hmm, what about the fans? the external cooling fans? are they any good?

I already asked about fans, they seem to take up power and make the system work harder defeating the purpose.

well that my friend is a sucker punch to the gonads...guess i need to keep the AC on whenever i play....**** U GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!!
