    I feel so dumb for upgrading I have a slim. I assume I can't downgrade?

    No you can not! If you haven't seen news stating that there's a "true" working CFW for 3.56 from reliable sources or something stating that it's possible to downgrade again from reliable sources....then you're just stuck! Honestly, this was a pointless topic to start considering how many others have been started in numerous other threads about the same ISSUE!

    When a method comes out for either, you will see it on the front page of any ps3 site, and geohot will probably have a television appearance talking about it, lol.

    some lonely bored soul will eventually take out a downgrade or a cfw for 3.56(more likely)....so hold on tight and DONT update any more!!

    Decrypting is not patching or creating cfw. You can decrypt 3.56 easy enough. Sifting through their new protection methods to create the patch is another thing.
