Blackbox FTP - where to put the iso?
Blackbox FTP - where to put the iso? –
I have BLACKBOX and FileZilla.
Rogero is my BM. I set it so devhd0/GAMES is the location.
So after i download the iso of the game. Open FileZilla, connect to blackbox ip.
Navigate to devhd0/Games/ and drop the iso there?
im just confused cuz people say saomethin about BLxxxx/ then drop t he game.
can any1 verify this plz?
I see you have an ISO with the game on it. What you should do, is unpack the ISO with preferably Winrar. You should have a folder with BLXXXX/PS3_GAME etc. According to your path, you should drag the folder BLXXXXX to dev_hdd0/Games and then Rogero should notice your game. If you have further questions, just post them.
Yeah Derk Is correct. Yesterday i transfered naughty bear FULL game, so its the whole BLES00945 in this case, to dev_hdd0>GAMES
got it. is it normal for some of these files to not transfer successfully?
on the right side of filezilla..i located devhdd0..in the sub category i clicked games.
on the left side i located the BLXXXXX with the game files inside.
i dragged the BLXXXX over into games.
after a few mins i had like 3 failes transfers. is this normal?
i have a router that my ps3 is hooked to directly for online gaming. and my pc with the files is up stairs off of wifi if that helps.
Also do I have ti keep blackbox opened while it transfers? Can I play my ps3 at the same time?
Try using flashfxp, I've never gotten a failed transfer with it before.
where do i donwload?
and am i able to play my ps3 while it downloads the game?
FileZilla cant handle many sub directories so you gota go and make a few of them yourselves thats why it fails some files on transfer
Filezilla has massive transfer speeds so i recommend you tackle your problem and keep using it 1.2mbps < 60mbps +
I get 15MB/s with flashfxp. That's 120mbps. It also handles every file I've thrown at it, regardless of subdirectories. And your ftp app shouldn't make a big difference in transfer speed; long as it has birdirectional read/write. As far as a download link for flashfxp, you can google it or just type it into your web browser with a .com on the end, it'll bring you to the same download page with a download link.
got it going to FlashFXP. 6gb taking about an 1hr 20m.
showing 1.47MB :-(
any faster way of doing this when those BIGGER games come my way?
I transfered ~20gb (star ocean international) in 45 mins. You can get a much faster transfer.
I just re-read your 4th post... Your pc on wifi is causing the slow transfer. Connect it via ethernet to the router, or upgrade your router and wireless card to wireless-n. With wireless-g your max speed is 56mbps; that calculates to a maximum theoretical speed of 7MB/s, with a flawless connection and a top of the line router. Once you take into consideration the walls and floors of your house, a weaker signal due to distance, plus the cheap components used in most routers, your speed is severely limited. With wireless-n you should get much faster speeds, since the maximum is 300mbps. I'd still recommend just running an ethernet cable though.
