Didn't seem too arsey to me, lol. I'm also curious as to what caused the problem. What I thought was wrong wasn't; if it was then no pkg file would have installed, even genuine or signed ones. Because another worked, yet blackbox wouldn't, I can only assume that somehow the data from blackbox was corrupted, or the file permissions got changed. The only was that would happen without accidentily writing over them with your pc ftp client (which would be really stupid so I'm assuming you didn't do that), is if the sectors where blackbox was stored were no longer readable. Is there a chance your internal hard drive is on its last leg? As hard drives go bad, more and more sectors on it are no longer readable, and any data stored there is lost. The sector is detected and no longer written to after that, but the loss of that data is generally permanent. If you've got an old hard drive in a launch unit that's had way too action, or a hard jitter while it was writing, possibly the hard drive is going bad. It's unlikely, but I can't think of anything else that would cause such a weird issue. Personally, I'd back up my data, pull the drive out, format it for my pc, and run some diagnostics on it.
