Backing up game saves...
Backing up game saves... –

Hi PSGroove!
Yes I am a noob, but Ive been watching and 'READING!' in the wings as everything unfolds. Some amazing stuff is being achieved and a big congrats and thank you to all the dev's involved... now wheres the 3.56 cfw...?
Received my shiny new 750Gb 2.5" drive today, so looks like Im gonna have a fun weekend which leads me on to my question, and I know its a simple one but want to check...
I know when I backup my current internal drive it wont backup my trophies, and since there is currently no 3.56 cfw I cant sync the trophies with the psn server, not that a actually play online anyway. Generally I just go on PSN to download game demos, though I was thinking of buying Afterburner (classic!) Now, I actually thought these were my game saves, as to how far Ive gotten in a game. But after a little reading it appears not, just ego boosters. So my question is, when I backup the current 60gb drive WILL all my game saves be backed up too? (what ever they are called? And I take it loosing all my trophies wont screw anything up in the games that Ive played, loose any power-up or anything like that, etc??
oh, and does Deanrr sleep?! Theres a new version of MM almost everyday! great work
Cheers
Yetti.

3. Delete your homebrew.
4. Create a backup in system settings.
5. Sync your trophies (if you care about them)
6. Revert back to ofw 3.55 through the recovery menu.
7. Replace your hard drive with the new one and follow the ps3 prompts, using the OFW file when asked.
8. Restore from your backup file created in step 4 through system settings.
9. Flash to kmeaw's cfw.
10. Re-install all your homebrew apps, as well as comgenie's awesome file manager.
11. Copy your "GAMES" folder back over to your new internal hard drive using congenie's awesome file manager. It will re-join any files it needs to automatically.
12. Re-install your deleted game data.
13. Re-sync your trophies (might take more than 1 click. I don't have many and it took 2 tries to get 'em all).
P.S. - It seems like a pain in the ass because it is. Don't cut corners with a $300 console unless you want a $300 paperweight.
Quoted myself from another thread, lol.
