After updating to KMEAW 3.55 PS3 no longer detects save data

I have read all about a similar problem with many people but this is a little different. I was running hermes with my e3 on fw 3.41 and I decided to upgrade to 3.55 kmeaw for obvious
reasons. I made a PS3 backup of all my data (Ripped games, Saved Data, etc.) and restored it after the upgrade to 3.55. After the restore all my games were still there and all the save data can still be found in the save data folder.

However whenever I start a game (New Vegas, Soul Calibur, etc.) It tells me there is NO saved data. Using the file manager I looked into the HDD where save data should be stored and I do not see anything there even though I can find them on my XMB. I don't know if this is better then corrupt save data or worse but if there is anyone
in the scene who knows how to help me get the PS3 to detect my save data that would be awesome.

I have tried saving the data to my USB and putting it in the correct folder manually through the file manager but still no savedata found.

I have also tried saving the data to a USB and playing the game on another OFW PS3. Only problem is I cannot save due to the wrong user account.

Have you tried in recovery mode "Rebuild Database"

It could be due to it being another user namely your old user account on your PS3, that has happened alot. Also you should try the save unlocker to unlock save files and try a rebuild of the database and the file system.
