yellow power led - what does it mean?
yellow power led - what does it mean? –
recently when experimenting with FMCB my ps2 apparently locked up.
but the weird thing was that power led turned yellow, which i something i have never seen before. it was impossible to shut down the ps2 with power button - i had to turn of the power in the back of the unit.
this only happened twice so far. is the led color aside from red/green an indicator of some problem?
I've had this happen too on my v9 NTSC PS2. It usually happens if I reset a few times in quick succession. I still can reset by holding down the power button for 10+ seconds.
This has only happened with an FMCB card inserted.
I get a yellow power LED a lot when I shutdown a game I am playing via HDL sometimes.
I would quess probably some type hardware error
(I might be totally wrong here)
isnot that HDD Acitivity ? while playing games off hdd ?
Yesterday it happen to me too and FMCB is not the cause of it(I try it with and without FMCB).The problem comes aider from the Network Adapter or the modchip. It happens when I load HDLoader or CodeBreaker...maybe something else too
The problem appear in two ways
1.When I press the power button the PS2 don't restart but turn of with yellow led not red.
2.Pressing the power button nothings happens, the led just flash for a second but the PS2 don't turn of nor restart.
Mostly it happens when I use the Network Adapter in some way but on games that never happens, only on homebrews
i had this again, when i tried to power down my ps2 right after deleting few games in hdl (a few seconds after a game was erased).
maybe the disk cache was not properly flushed or something?
