Xploder HDTV Player

i realize that the other thread was closed because of warez... but not all of us were posting/looking for the ELF T_T I own retail versions of Xploder HDTV player (just came in today), Blaze VGA disc and HDLoader. anyway...

My plan was to use it to play games on my LCD monitor using the VGA adapter that came with the Blaze disc (which I also bought). So, VGA mode is all that matters to me.. I could play retail games using Xploder as a boot disc (I only tried Xenosaga II) but I can't get it to boot HDLoader! The best I can do is to get it to put in my ps1 trigger disc (memory card exploit) and press start in Xploder, which goes to the ps2 bios screen, but when I run the PS1 game, I just get a black screen... so disappointed T_T I could get even farther than this with the original Blaze disc... (all the way into HDLoader and play games, but terrible compatibility)

Basically.. has anyone been able to get into HDLoader with Xploder?

A quick question to anyone with the HDTV player and the old Blaze adaptor: Will the old VGA adaptor work with the HDTV player? I bought the HDTV player specifically for use on an old CRT, so the component cables are no good.

Yes it will work, tried it myself yesterday.

It's compatibility is roughly the same as the Matrix Infinity built in VGA mode - i.e. lousy. Some games are broken even. Major advantage is that it can display 640x480 @ 85hz. Nice. Also it displays 60hz as 60hz, not 61hz like in the matrix. The other higher res are nice to have for lcds but i have my doubts that 1280x1024 is outputted correctly since my monitor didn't recognize that resolution in game.

I gave up on native VGA support on the PS2.

I think that by now it's kinda proven that most PS2 games will never display properly in VGA. Better use a upscan converter or a TVcard with svideo hookup.

C'mon Guys We're not going to allow any begging for files, or posting of files here, if you need the file and you're in 'the scene' you should know where to get it, I'm sure it's in the usual places. So keep it Clean, and have fun.
