I posted this under the CC part of the boards aswell, but maybe this has nothing to do with the CC, so I hope you peeps here might bring some light to the matter. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I asked this question before on the old forum[Crystal Chip] but didnt really get any help.
I have a PsTWO (v12) with a CC (Yes, its true I swear). I have bought Xenogears, Xenosaga and FFtactics, and Xenosaga and FFTactics work fine. The problem with Xenogears is that its really choppy, it's as if it loads alot. It doesnt freeze or anything its just that it takes a long time doing stuff. Here's an example:
You start a battle and you use a spell. The name of the spell comes up and the character starts the summoning animation , then its just stuck in that animation for like 1-2 minutes. Music is still playing, sound aswell, and the characters are moving. Its like it waits a long time. Same thing can happen when a battle ends, the characters just stand their in their victory pose for like 2 minutes.
I used the cd on my PC through an emulator to check the cd and had no problems there. Xenosaga and FFtactcis runs fine, I even borrowed PSX-backups from my friend to see if it was perhaps 3d games that made the machine "think" for so long, but that wasn't the case.
Btw, I once tried making copies of Xenogears since I feared that the cd might be harmed with all the loading, but my backups of XG and FFT didnt work :S Does anyone have any tips on how to make good copies? I know that DVDecrypter works fine for PS2 backups...
Last Btw, I have the 14th update and skipped the 15th, can I go straight for the 16th or dO I have to flash the 15th first? And I used the hacked version so that I could play backups, will this cause any problems with the BM when updating?
Thanks alot for any anwsers.
Yes, this is n00by.

I have never heard of any problems with Xenogears. I certainly never had problems with it. On the PS2, I would turn the disc speed to fast and smooth edge, and the game is greatly improved. You may try that to see if it works better. If you already have these two functions on, then try turning the fast speed load back to normal speed. If none of that works for you, then it's probably a bad burn.

Another thing! When I first got it I lent my copy of xenogears to one of my mates to see if it was strange for him too, but it wasnt , and when I got it back it worked properly for a couple of days! REally strange... Really strange if it was a coincidence, because before that it was almost unplayable.
I tried everything to make it load like it used to, but it didnt chop up. But hten after some time the problems returned
