Wow ... hate ps2twos>

hi my cousin brought a system in yesterday ... unmodified v13, the system would seem to load to but the ps2 logo would not come up ... opened it up tried it out agian for good measure suddendly the system loads perfectly ... the guy says he wants it modified, did it with a mars pro 805sl ... the game would load perfectly but all of a sudden it will randomly freeze during gameply ... tried everything about twenty different games all burnt at the lowest possible speed on the highest quality media (taiyo yuidens) even brand new originals will ramdomly freeze ... for good measure i replaced the chip and placed a brand new pvr lens and same problem ...sorry for the long post but right now he is camped out on my sofa waiting to work on the system again and i am a little fustrated ...any ideas ...?

the mars pro 805 is not v13 compatible but its v12 compatible.

Hmmm... did over 50 v13 with mars 805sl all worked ... even used 805se on 13 with no problem

are you sure those pstwos were actually v13's

There are v12 that looks like a 13, and a 13 ....

yahooadam i dont really understand your reply ... even if the 13 was a 12 (which it isnt) the points are identical ... the problem was just a bad batch of mars ... tried seven 805sl until i finally decided to try an old matrix i had lying around ... it is very strange because up till this time i never had a problem with doa mars before ... thanks for the replies and anarchy2007 for his pm.
