I picked up some 20Gauge Stranded wire (insulated). Will this work for the 3.45V and Ground Points?

Little bigger than the recommended but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It will make it a bit harder to attach to the points on the motherboard.

You do realize that the smaller the gauge, the larger the wire.

In this case 20 guage is BIGGER than the recommend 22 or so.

The 32 -34 guage wire that is recommended for all the other points is WAY smaller.

Thicker is theoretically better for the power lines because of the higher current running through them. Quite honestly, 22 is plenty for what this is being used for. The smaller is better for the rest because the current running through those wires is small because they are mainly data channels and don't require larger wire but the smaller wire makes the connection much easier to solder. Good luck with anything in the 20s for those BIOS pins or CD/DVD Controller pins.
