Will my slim PS2 power supply work on my PS-One (SCPH-101)

Hey guys,

I have a PS2, of course, but I picked up a REAL PS1 to play some old PS1 games I never got to use BITD. Problem is that it didn't come with an AC adapter.

Can I use the 8.5V adapter from my PS2 slim on my PS-One? It requires 7.5V. It provides plenty of amps and has center positive polarity, but I don't want the extra volt to fry anything. I plan to get the right one, but I'd like to test this thing before spending money on it...

it should said in the manual the voltages required. do NOT put more volts than required, 1 volt seems small enought to fry components in the system.
