DMS3 is definitely better. The value added features it has are well worth the extra price compared to M2.

Feel free to check out some info about DMS3 here:

That doesn't really tell him why you think the DMS3 is better.

From my standpoint, I don't really see any real advantages of the DMS3 over the Messiah2. Booting apps from mem card? That's not really a big thing because if the fact that those apps can be used on a boot disc. And the DMS3 claims PSX stealth mode, but that is not been proven yet.

What I do like about the DMS3 is the fact that you can use MegaMemory 16 cards without the boot disc. That's a nice feature.

As long as the DMS team fixed the bug where some of the DVDRIPs didn't boot, they are both more or less equal. They boot all media! That's the bottom line.

I think when the HDD releases, there will be some updates to these chips and whoever can get their chip to boot apps off of the HDD, if possible, will really want to make me upgrade.
The Yellow PS2 auto-boots all. PS2, PS1 stealth and DVD movies.

    precisonmods:

The post leads him to a description of the chip in full. It should help him out for sure.

You also forgot 3 key features that people like which are:

Macrovision Off and All Region DVD as well as Contolling media type inserted via the PS2 controller and not by holding in reset/eject like on other no-swap chips.
