White Blocks appearing at PS2 Splash screen
White Blocks appearing at PS2 Splash screen –
I bought a PS2 earlier this year. Been using it quite a bit though. My problem is that lately my PS2 is showing white blocks at the splash screen (The screen where 4 dots are spinning around with some transparent cubes) whenever my memory card is inserted. The memory card is OK, no corrupted data saves. First there were 3 white blocks, Now there are 4. Is my PS2 dying? (Hope not).
My PS2 is 39001, a V7 or 8 I think?. I has a Mesiah 2 Chip in it. Any info on my problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The white blocks represent the different games saved onto your memory card, I believe. Don't worry there is no problem with your ps2. I have around the teens to 20 of them floating around at my bootup.
I'm a noob with stuffs like these sorry :-). But come to think of it, before it doesn't have that? Why did it only appeared just now, Before I didn't have them?
Anyone? I just need to make sure that this is normal on PS2s.
WHY COULDNT SONY HAVE MADE THE BLOCKS CLEAR CRYSTAL!!!!!!! DAMN YOU SONY!!! FOR MAKING A BEAUTIFUL STARTUP SCREEN UGLY!!!!
ehhem.. neways.. thoes white "towers" or "squares" represent each game you have played. each new game is a new "white square". the more you play them, the more they turn into towers, and the taller they become.
you see, this is because your ps2 logs every game you have played. even more
frighteningly enough, sony can retrieve this data when you log on online, and view all the games you have ever played, and which games you like the most.
if you don't like the F#$*&#ing UGLY white not crystal for some reason towers, then delete the "your system configuration" save on your memory card - that's where the data's stored.
ps sorry for being angry sony pisses me off so much when they ruin the beautiful BIOS!!! why couldn't they make the startup screen and the browser more like the system config save and like bbnav... UGHHHHH it's too late goodnite
Oh. OK. Thanks InfinaRacer and HyperSonic. BTW this forum site rocks! It has everything U need to know about PS2 stuff. Thanks again.
