Whats my PS2 Version

Hey I have either a V9 or V10 console but i carnt find out anywhere how to work out which one i have for sure.
The Model Number is SCPH-50002 and its a PAL unit, ive googled it and i only found out that model number can be a V9 or V10 and i need to know for sure because i want to put a Ghost2 ModChip in it thats on the way.
If anyone can help i know you guys can.

check the date code
v9- date code 3a-3b-3c
v10- 3d

date code location circled in red

or open it up and check the GH model no on the board.

i have a date code 2c scph-39001 can anyone tell me the version or point me in the right direction. i have looked through forums but nuttin. thanks in advanced

Unfortinatly the PAL versions dont have date codes on them like the NTSC versions so i guess the only way i will know for sure it to open it up and check the motherboard number then ..

Hey... just woundering my PS2 says '2C'... so would that be version 2?? lol I just starting modding today, so... Ive modded my xbox's and a friends gamecube b4 so im not that new..

**NVM Post.. I just say millhouse has a 2C lol didnt see that earlier when reading.**
