what modchip (identify)

hey my friend got a ps2 when it first came out in japan and it already had a swap-mod chip in it...im trying to figure out which one it is...he said something about pressing the reset button twice before starting the swap procedure...seems to be one of the first if not the first - first gen ps2 modchip...any ideas?

Depending on how oldschool he it is it could be only a few things. But my bet would be a Neo 2.
