    hi just install dms3 chip to my ver7 cd-r game work fine but the only thing is dvd-r game have difficult time to boot it work but the disk making really loud noises i'm using tdk dvd brand. it is the chip or the media? by the way i have'nt uppgrade the bios yet. could it be the problem too. thanks

    there was something about that in these forums, exactly the same problem as you....was it clicking noises? you should try Traxdata DVD-R....or look up this post:

    There is a detailed explanation of those phenomena in the FAQ/Guides section.

    Basically it's the media/laser combo. You need to find the best DVD-R media to suit the calibration/settings of your laser. Usually a Ritek based DVD-R like Traxdata, in my view.

    Arrrrrrrr, I use Imation DVD+R (I know I know...but 24.99 for 12 DVDr with individual cases couldn't be passed up!) and those little beasties boot just as fast, and run just as quiet as me originals do!
