Weird Eject Prob

hi guys i installed a messiah in my m8's ps2 v5 some time ago chip still works fine but the ps2 has a weird eject prob the only way it will eject is if there is a disk in the tray and the ps2 is on its side when i took the top off the ps2 and pressed eject i noticed that it could be the magnet in the laser spindle not releasing from the bit it the top of the lid what is the best way to fix this

From the sound of it it sounds as if you have a wire conenction that is loose but almost connected, so where it can go from beeing cold, to completing a circuit just by the angle of the PS2. You may want to just take a peak underthe hood and make sure everything is alright. As far as the Spindle issue, Im not sure what I would do withotu seeing it.

sounds like the old heat warped the spindle magnet housing all you can do is replace the magnets plastic casing ive fixed a few like that it just wont let go
