Vibration Fuse –
Can anyone tell me the voltage rating of the S7 fuse for the vibration? I know it is a .7amp but what voltage?
The voltage for the vibration is 8V
i replaced it with a fuse of 500 mA, 250V, like the ones you use on multimeters, and it works ok, its unlikely the voltage will even go up, but the current will break the fuse if it goes to 500ma so i think its ok to use them
I just asked this question the other day. No one even bother to answer but here is what I've found.
As long as the voltage rating of the fuse is greater or equal to the input voltage then it is fine.
So if the draw is 8v then the fuse must be rated 8v or greater.
with a 500mA fuse he will be alright, and be sure to tape it because the multimeter ones are a little big, if you can find a smaller fuse good for you :P i didnt find one, mines like 5 cm(donno about inches, im mexican :P), and it will work ok
If anybody cares. I got those fuses today and they are the perfect size. The main diffrences are the fuses are a clear/white colour and are only about 1/3 to 1/2 the height of the regular one's. If your in North America DiGiKey is a first class company to deal with in my experiences
Exellent homegrown I was looking into digikey also ...
