Hey there, Just a quick question around VGA adaptors. Is the G-Combo any good for the PS2 or is there a better adaptor around? I need to get one due lack of space and the pc monitor is there to be used...

The Gods smile upon you. Beware- it is probably because they know what is going to happen to you next and find it amusing. To them anyway.

why do you quote your own sig...

anyway, as far as scan converters are concerned, just beware. you get what you pay for.

well if you wanna know what ones are "best" to use, they wont be called vga adapters, they wont be labeled "for use with ps2" or anything similar, and they're gonna cost a few hundred dollars. like i said, it's all a matter of how much the thing costs. if you find a scan converter that costs more somewhere than some cheap one labeled for a ps2, then theres a fairly good chance it'll work better.

frankly i always thought it was weird to have "dreamcast vga adapters" and "ps2 vga adapters" because they all do the same thing.

there is a big difference between a simple vga adapter and a upscan converter. the dreamcast vga box is much different than the ps2, or any other systems vga box.
