verizons binaries go bye-bye?
verizons binaries go bye-bye? –
anyone have verizon and use there newsgroups notice a couple of IMPORTANT binary groups missing? My firend and I both dont have access to these groups anymore and was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem maybe even had some insight as to why without any notice at all.
perhaps because if they were providing the usenet service to you for free, they can do whatever they want with it?
I wouldnt call it free. Im sure a part of my monthly payment for their service has to go to a newsgroup service. If I'm paying for it then I want it all. The 3 biggest ones I frequent are unavailable now, a.b.c.i.playstation2.dvdiso a.b.c.i.xbox a.b.c.i.dvd are all gone.
Is this a crackdown on pirating? And I'm sure if the big companies start the smaller ones are sure to follow.
no, you arent entitled to anything since isp's dont have to provide a usenet service for you at all, let alone binaries, and especially binaries which quite obviously have people posting warez to them. unless you're seeing a line item on your bill that reads something like "usenet service: $1.99", they don't owe you anything.
