I replaced the laser on my V7 and now I'm having problems with the tray ejecting/retracting

it seems like its not waiting for the tray to be in before the laser raises back up... the tray starts to retract and the laser comes up at the same time causing the laser to get stuck. I've tried putting the tray in different possitions (all the way closed, all the way open) and it the laser isn't waiting 3 sec to raise up/down

any help?
