Hello, I have not been on this board for awhile so I missed any discussion of the v.13's reliability when it was released. I am currently preparing to get a slimline version chipped (davbere is the man), and would like to know if the rampant laser problems that where associated with the v.12's was corrected in the v.13's. I also understand that the current version is 14 or 15 and would appreciate any opinions on the reliability of these models also. In short which version is the best

    Thanks for any input, Chas.

The lasers used in v12, v13 and v14 are identical.
The v12 requires a laser protection fix be applied.

The v13 and v14 have a fix built in by Sony.

I'll do you a v13 Chaz to alleviate and more concerns you may have.
