    Hey guys,
I recently upgraded my old V3 PS2 to a V9 with a DMS3 chip. Unfortunately, when I play dvd movies, the movies 'glitch' every 5 seconds or so. When I say 'glitch', I mean that the screen with flash black for 1-2 frames. Sometimes the audio cuts out for the 1-2 frames as well, but not always. The problem occurs when the chip is on and in sleep, so I'm thinking that it's not chip related. Games play just fine.
The only thing I can think of to fix it would be to update the dvd driver. The current driver is version 3.00. Is there any way to update the drivers(without having to buy anything)?

I don't know what region you're in, but if it's a US console you could install the 3.12U drivers that come with the FFXI HDD kit. That's $100 though, so I guess unless you know someone who has one you could borrow the utility disc from, you're kinda screwed...
