tv cards and the ps2...
ok i just bought a tv card for my computer and i hooked my DMS3 modded :p ps2 up to it. I began playing a game when i noticed that there is some "lag" when i push a button, no video lag at all. for instance i push x to jump and there is a delay before i jump. has anyone ever heard of this happening? and fixable?

lol it took me forever to figure out how to get ps2 to work at all. i was using an rf adapter which sux for some reason only did black and white ? so i did the red white yellow and i had to change the input source to composite in the options.. but that is for ati tv wonder pro....
and it is not game lag cause i checked normal tv. i think im gonna try 640x480 res like tv maybe that will be cool... any other suggestions?
btw it is so awesome with linux cause i cant read any console text, so that is the main reason i bought it...

i tried to use a tv cap card to play ps2 on my computer monitor and i had the same exact problem. the problem will always be there. you cant fix it.
@ law- i dunno what your problem is, but again you wont reach playable speed with these capture cards

sigh... well at least it is still good for dev... (linux) and text based stuff :)

Iam not looking to play the game on my computer, Iam just looking to capture still and short clips of a game. Sorry for not being more clear.

doesn't ur tv tuner card have the yellow video connection on the back? if so just hook up your PS2 directly to your tv tuner card ... this is what i do with my xbox and ps2

some capture cards have the video jacks (yellow, white, red) but alot of the cards you find for under $40 dont.

The only jacks I have in the card are a S-video, one yellow video and a coaxial cable. Oh and one audio. So how would I connect the PS2 straight to the card?
