I've been thinking of writing some kind of troubleshooting flowchart to help me quickly identify where the problem could like in a busted ps - but before I do - does one already exist?

I'm looking for fine details of what is supposed to happen when say when you switch a console on - the laser head moves up and down, the lens moves in and out - cd spins etc etc. Does anyone have a list of what exacly is supposed to happen when you bootup and the sequence of events - when does the fan come on, when does it spin up, how far is the head supposed to move? And if these things dont happen what the prob could be.

Any help would be appreciated.
