The PS2 plays fine, but when I eject it, it does not come out smooth. It sounds like it is rubbing against something on the left (facing the ps2 from the front). I am using a DUO2 chip, is it the ground point or should I not mess with it all?

mine did that for a long time. now it doesnt even play games anymore![]()
i dont think its anything got to due with the chip...its the tray it self... have u dropped the ps2 or accidently hit the tray with sumthing? if not that..open up the ps2 and see wuts wrong with the tray..and try to position it back together.
Could it be the ribbon cable connecting to the Eject and Power button? But if it was that it would not even turn on, right? I looks ok to me, but I dont want it to stop workingThanks for the help, though.
Eject the tray, and flick the power off with the tray out. Then turn it upside-down and put some light grease (do not use WD40!!) on the metal rod that the tray slides on. This usually fixes the tray farting problem.
Thanks I will try that, but what kind of grease do you recommend? If I can't get it to work I will play in moderation or I wont play it until Kingdom Hearts 2 comes out, because that's really the only game I want to play![]()
